Great and affordable tool!
It is a great tool to use and is much cheaper than Flightscope and Trackman. I just wish it was easier to change lofts and altitude on the product. It would be great if I could do that on the iphone app.
Great asset in learning our players yardages and compiling data. Helps during the colder months working inside.
Very easy to set up; great value for the money. Good help on the range giving you good basics. The screen could be a bit bigger.
I recently purchased the ES14 and put it to use the day I received it. Fortunately, I had just come home from a fitting that I had at my local club and it was sitting on the porch. So I opened up the box and set it up in my back yard. Since the fitting rep wanted me to change my driver, because they said I was averaging roughly 2700 rpm spin rate with my current driver and their driver was only producing 2100 rpm spin rate. With this info, I downloaded the ES14 app for my phone and paired it up with my ES14. I hit 10 drives with my current driver and the ES14 showed me I had an average spin rate of 2550 rpm. So with that said, I feel very good that I made the right decision on the purchase of the new driver. Since then, I’ve had several range sessions and for once I know exactly how far I carry each club.
Perfection for measuring clubhead speed & ball speed
I bought this unit primarily to review & work on my club head speed. Because that is one of the two direct measurements that the ES14 takes – it has worked great for me. I can now immediately determine the cause and effect relationship between the swing I make and the resulting club head speed. At this price point, it’s a no brainer… A+
I have used it twice, each time with a purpose. The first time it was to adjust my new R15 driver, check on changes to my driver swing. and compare my 5 Rescue to the 5 iron. I am changing my driver swing so I hit the ball on the upswing instead of the downswing. The numbers on the ES14 showed that I am succeeding in the change as the launch and spin would have been much higher if I hit the ball on the downswing. Then I started working on adjusting my R15 and comparing my Fubuki Alpha 60R and 60S shafts. First I found that the 60S was better performing as my shaft load was better. Then I was able to adjust my R15 to get to 14 degree launch with 2800 spin. It was surprising how changing the weights changed the performance.
The second time out I took my 6i to PW and wanted to check gapping. I just set it up and started hitting balls. When I got home I was able to compare my average for each club and see that I had a 10 yard gap between each club.
The only thing I wished was the app had some more features. I would have liked to delete swings from a range session after I completed the session. Also I would have like to have the data from a session be placed in a cloud service so all of my range sessions would be available regardless of the device I used (iPad or iPhone). The app was what dropped my rating to 4 stars.
spot on distance readings
Have access to a Forsite launch monitor, the ES14 readings were within 2 yards and the ES14 cost about $14,000 less. Amazing !
Easy to set up, ready to go in seconds. Great tool for all golfers looking to increase distances/smash factor. Any golfers looking to reduce their handicap. The ES14 will track your average carry distances and most importantly your launch angles and smash factor. Compare to similar product out there that cost $10,000 to $20,000, this is a must buy. Instead of spending $400 to $1,200 on the next set of irons or driver that promise 10-15 yard gain…buy ES14. Don’t waste your hard earned money on a new set of club, invest in a tool that will help you improve in the long run. Again, this is a must buy! Don’t spend another year buying new gears or a quick fix swing device.
